Topical Tales: Blurring the Boundaries Between Fact and Fiction was an evening of talks followed by a workshop in which participants reconstructed the news of the day using storytelling and fictional narrative. The Common Affairs, Daniel Nørregaard and Mould Map spoke at the event and helped run the workshop.

Topical Tales was part of a larger project, Alternative Art School, that I was a key part of during my second year at university. This was a collective that challenged the model of the traditional art school and looked at ways to promote discussion, action and change for the benefit of both students and tutors. As a part of this collective, I helped to organise three symposiums including activities and guest speakers, ran a club night called Inter-Course that brough together DJs from various art universities around London, ran a design-focussed workshop with GCSE children and curated a typographic poster exhibition.

Developed in collaboration with Karolina Cialkaite, Ollie George, Joe Moreno and Sheona Turnbull.
