The Friday Ferments

The Friday Ferments is a community-focussed project that aims to celebrate the wider world of fermentation through conversation and storytelling, whilst encouraging the making of new ferments on a Friday. It exists as a blog, a podcast and workshop series. The podcast is a discussion, either 2 way or 3 way, between myself, a professional fermenter and/or an amateur fermenter, centred around storytelling and conversation. Each episode includes individual stories and features a discussion about the politics of food. The Friday Ferments also hosts workshops in locations that are currently undergoing huge amounts of change and gentrification,  focussing on the discussion topics of preservation and change over time. They provide practical tuition alongside politically motivated conversation.
